On Thursday, September 15th, EtonHouse Malaysia celebrated its sixth annual Parade Day. Students and Faculty dressed in national attire from either Malaysia or their own home country, filling the school grounds with costumes from every corner of the earth. In addition to the Malaysian-themed food provided by Chef Tunku, the EHM Parent Association also arranged an international potluck lunch for students, with various dishes from all over the world. After lunch parents gathered to cheer on the EHM students as they walked in procession around the garden, waiving Malaysian flags, and showing off their beautiful outfits. Following the parade, Ms. Amalina, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Tarra and Ms. Pei Saan led the entire community in a traditional Malaysian dance, after which parents and students were invited by Mr. Bengt to enjoy various Malaysian treats in the cafeteria.
Parade Day 2016 celebrated not only Mardeka Day and Malaysia Day, but also the international community that is EtonHouse Malaysia, and how its differences unites us as one.
